Advice to Shoots when Game Dealers no longer accept lead shot

The shooting industry is currently facing significant changes which will undoubtedly shape the future of the sport to varying degrees. One such change is the move away from lead shotgun cartridges to non-toxic alternatives, often including the likes of Steel, Bismuth, tungsten and tungsten matrix.
The shooting industry is fully dependent on game entering the food chain, with large game meat purchasers placing suppliers under increasing pressure to only provide game with no trace of lead shot. As a direct result of this, the National Game Dealers Association (NGDA) have announced that they will only collect game shot with non-toxic cartridges after July 1st 2022. This clearly places added pressure on shoots supplying NGDA members.
