Grimsthorpe Castle
The Grimsthorpe Castle Shoot is situated in picturesque ancient parkland at the heart of Lincolnshire, offering a mixture of shooting from narrow valleys to open agricultural land and a smattering of woodland drives in between. The beauty of the ancient parkland, coupled with the heritage of the Castle and the quality of the driven pheasant, partridge and wild duck shooting, makes for a truly unforgettable experience.
The new, enthusiastic and dedicated team at Grimsthorpe Castle work hard to ensure unbeatable sporting birds and enjoyable days for all. Grimsthorpe Castle cater for all levels, whether you are new to shooting or highly experienced, the team will be happy to provide accordingly, and certainly have the shooting and drives to be able to do so.
Teams meet at the Park House shoot room at 08.45 for coffee and the shoot brief before loading up into the gun trailer and moving off by 09.30. Shooting is enjoyed throughout the Estate, allowing guests to experience all the Estate has to offer, with elevenses being taken in the field at the rural retreat in the woods, with a delicious lunch served in the shoot dining room before tea and cake are served in the shoot room after the final drive. The shoot prides itself on unrivalled hospitality with fine wines, roaring fires and delicious lunches in the newly refurbished shoot room located in Park House at the heart of the shoot. Overnight parties can be accommodated with cottages available on the estate or hotels in nearby Stamford.
