Farndale Estate
Over the years, Farndale has founded a reputation as one of the Yorkshires finest shoots, providing the combination of top quality shooting, stunningly beautiful scenery, and fantastic hospitality – it is a reputation well deserved. Farndale has a fantastic range of drives, with some of the most impressive being the renown “Cross Plantation”, “Tommy Banks”, “Oak Cragg” and “Pig Wood”, however, there is more than twenty main drives on the Estate, and as a result, it rarely disappoints.
Farndale prides itself on producing high birds with odd birds bordering on the extreme, and all who visit will tell you the birds are extremely challenging, not only due to their hight but also the angels and speed the birds carry in flight. The pheasants and partridges travel impressive distances from flushing points high on the steep banks of the moorland edge, often reaching the other side of the valley, which is credit to their experienced keepering team.
Farndale is approximately 15 minutes from the well renowned North Yorkshire shooting town of Helmsley and as a result, accommodation options are plentiful. If private accommodation is of interest William Powell Sporting is delighted to have access to one of the most impressive private houses in the area, which is ideal for entertaining teams.
